A SMALL GLIMPSE INTO A FEW THINGS IVE BEEN LEARNING FROM THE LORD LATELY

 TO SEEK

To seek Him above all else.

To seek his face. To desire him above anything else in life. As I seek and desire more of His word, seek and desire more of Him. To pursue a deeper knowledge of Christ himself.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

TO “SET MY SIGHTS”

To exalt His name above everything else. The emotions, the hurt, the pain. The good, the bad. ALL OF IT. To  set my sights on Jesus and nothing else. To keep my eyes fixed on Him.

“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:1-2

TO LIVE LIKE JESUS IS ENOUGH

BECAUSE HE IS!!  So many times we say that Jesus is enough, but do we really live like He is? If all else fails, if you feel like you have no friends, if you lose everything, and feel like you have no one, Is Jesus still really enough for you?

Is He enough when I desire to be seen and heard by those around me but arent? YES HE IS!

Is He sufficient when I feel alone in the middle of the crowd? HE IS!

Is He enough when Im feeling that homesickness a bit? YES!

Is He enough when I feel like everything has been ripped away from me? HE IS, EVEN IN THE MOMENTS I DON’T FEEL LIKE HE IS.

Even in the most difficult situations God is still in control, he is still good, and he always provides.

“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or faint hearted.” Hebrews 12:2-3

These are just a few of the many things I've been pondering on and learning from the Lord lately. I hope it encourages you!

What has the Lord been teaching you lately?
