The in between of training camp and launch. Some days are long, other days have flown by way to fast. I often feel like I’m in this wondering and waiting season. Wondering what this next year will really hold, waiting for it to come with a lot of excitement and a little bit of nervousness. I’ve been asking myself “Am I preparing well for this next season? But am I enjoying the here and now? Finding joy in the simple moments?”
I often think how many others might feel like they’re in an in between season, You’re wondering and waiting for something. Whether that’s waiting to get that dream job or a house, desiring and waiting to have a child, wondering when that prodigal son or daughter might return home, a broken relationship to be mended.
Friends, As hard as it might feel right here in the middle, in the wondering and waiting. There is purpose here. THERE IS PURPOSE IN THE IN BETWEEN. What are we doing in this waiting season? Are we bringing our hurts, worries, hopes, and dreams to the feet of Jesus everyday? Are we getting alone with the Lord in prayer? Are we finding joy in the simple things in the here and now? I’m preaching to myself here too.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
I hope this encourages you.
