This month I find myself in the beautiful malealea valley in the country of Lesotho with only solar power, little to no cell service and WiFi that only sometimes work is a two mile walk down the road.

Here is a little glimpse into what everyday life looks like here

I usually start my day around 5/5:30am(as your day back west is coming to an end mine is just beginning).

I sit with the Lord in prayer and reading the word while looking out at a stunning mountain view, I’m currently reading through the Old Testament and the New Testament simultaneously it’s so cool to see the connections and Gods faithfulness throughout.

I then get in about a half hour workout, after that I grab my cup of instant coffee and we all gather together and go on a morning walk with our host and his family. Upon returning I grab some breakfast which is usually a boiled egg or some yogurt and granola, and then finish getting ready for the day.

We gather together for prayer and then hike up the side of the mountain to a village  going house to house getting to know the people in the valley, praying for them, sharing the gospel with those that don’t know and encouraging and sharing scripture with fellow believers. We then trek back to the house around 12:30/1sh for a lunch break. To which you can find me grabbing my lunch and then either taking an afternoon snooze or holding one of the cutest set of little twin boys that live here on base.

We gather together again around 3pm and do landscaping around the property, finishing up at 5 and then showering( we get hot water every other day here, thanks Lord for hot water!). We then get around to having dinner which is a rotation of pasta; chicken, rice and veggies, or tacos. After dinner we gather together for ‘team time’ in which we talk about the day, give feedback, and maybe play a game or two.  You then can usually find me in bed by no later than 9pm. Haha.

Though the days feel long, life here is sweet and peaceful.
