Heyy!!

So just a little update on Launch, Our first ministry site and, where I’m currently at right now.

Arrived at launch in Gainesville Georgia just over a week ago, reunited with my squad, and had a week full of worship, training, and discipleship. While we all longed to be out on the field already, the week was full of life-giving discussion and preparation for what is to come.

On Thursday and Friday my squad departed for Honduras to our first two ministry sites, while a squad leader and I are still in Georgia. On Wednesday we had the first of many routine covid tests and I tested positive(3x), Thankfully Ive had very little to no symptoms. Im completely heartbroken that I can’t be with my team right now, and cried a lot of tears about it. Trying to trust and know that  God has something good for me in the here and now. The plan is to prayerfully be able to fly out on Thursday to join my team. Something Im thankful for in the moment is that I am not the only one here’s there are a handful of people here from another squad that is going to Romania that got held back due to positive covid tests as well.

One thing the Lord has been teaching me these last few days is to just rest, Something that doesn’t usually come easy to me as I always seem to be on the go. To rest in Him. To rest for what is to come. A sweet friend reminded me this week to soak this time all in, to dig in deep, and to lean in closer to Him. So here I am so ready to be with my squad, but resting in knowing that God has something good for me in the here and now as I rest and wait for what is to come.

You may have noticed that I mentioned that my squad is in Honduras, if you’ve followed my journey closely you would know that we were supposed to be going to Guatemala first and Honduras second. Due to recent covid protocols in Guatemala we will no longer be going there, and instead going to Honduras a month early and staying for close to two months doing ministry!

My team(Flocka Sheep) and team Selah are partnering with a pastor and his family in a village in the mountains of Honduras. Sleeping in our tents and potentially doing street evangelism, Beauty For Ashes ministry, and various manual labor projects!

When I join my team in the mountains wifi will be very spotty, so you may not hear from me for a little while. I will update when I can!

PRAYER REQUESTS

That I would continue to keep my eyes and ears open for what the Lord wants to show me in this time of rest, that I would dig in deep and lean in closer to the Lord.

A negative covid test for myself and for those here from the other squad, so that we can join our teams in ministry this week.

Thank you for the continued love, prayer, and support!

  1. Hey Steph, I know this has been difficult for you to have been left behind for a few days, but I know that, “the Lord always works things together for good for those that love Him and are called according to His purpose”. I know the Lord has such great things in store for you. I believe that you and Kevin traveling together for two very different reasons is for sure a divine appointment. One of the greatest revelations the Lord has ever given me is understanding how to REST IN HIM. I know He is revealing powerful things to you as you press into Him. Praying for you always. Love you!

  2. Stephiane, I am so so super proud of you!! I love you so so much! I am trusting and thanking the Lord during this time!!
