I arrived in Honduras to our ministry site and reunited with my team a week ago!

We are Partnering with a ministry called Catracho Missions. Living and doing ministry at one of their ministry bases in a mountain community outside the city of Comayagyua.

Ministry this past week has looked like repairing the church building windows and landscaping with good ole hand tools, preparing materials for the start of a school for the community kids and having the first two classes this week! We also helped our ministry host with a sewing class in another community, in which as they learn how to sew step by step, they learn scripture step by step. And they hear about a woman from the Bible and a testimony from someone’s life.

We also had the awesome opportunity to go to and pray over a land and hear the  vision for it in another mountain community that Catracho Missions is in the process of buying for another ministry site. We’ve also taken time as a team to share testimonies and life stories which has been so sweet!

The Lord is working here in such amazing ways and it’s so sweet to play a small part in it in this season!!

A few questions that have been  on my heart lately and has been talked about several times in devotional time with our ministry hosts and in my personal prayer time is the question “If Jesus died for me why can I not die to self for someone else each day?” For we are made alive in Christ(Colossians 2). Am I willing to lay aside my wants and desires for the sake of the gospel? For the sake of one of my teammates?

As missionaries we die to self every minute.  We choose to sing Alleluia no matter the circumstances.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please continue to pray for the health of our team, that the Lord would renew our strength each day as many days are filled with lots of strenuous work.
  • That there would be no more road blocks along the way for Catracho Missions to purchase the land for the new ministry site.

One response to “HELLO FROM HONDURAS!”

  1. Hey, Steph! We’re so glad that you got to your ministry site in Honduras safely. It’s like you didn’t skip a beat….you’ve just gotten right in there with the team and started being the hands and feet of Jesus to all the people of the mountain We’re so PROUD of you! The question you pose about why can’t we can’t die to ourselves each day, if Jesus died for us, is a very profound question. I know that Holy Spirit is speaking to you about this in powerful ways. It’s good to detach from some of the comforts we’re used to…this helps in hearing Him better. We love you so much!
