What was Training camp like you might ask? In just a few words it was soo soo good, hard, exhausting, beautiful, Holy Spirit filled, with a whole lot of laughter and tears. I came home exhausted and probably stinky, but a full heart overwhelmed by the goodness of God and excited for all that He has in store for this next year. Okay, that was more than a few words but you get the gist right?

19 strangers becoming like family in one week. There’s something about sleeping in tents, Hiking up a mountain and worshiping the Lord together around a campfire, eating bugs, and holding each other as one sits and cries at the feet of Jesus. There’s something special about Gods children coming together hungering for more of Him and willing to leave the comforts of home behind to reach the world with the gospel through this Kingdom journey! And this is just the beginning!

THIS IS N SQAUD

I am soo incredibly excited to do life and ministry with these people over the next year! God is so good in bringing each one of us together! I’ve already felt the real authentic community within this squad. A prayer I’ve prayed for years to find.

Within our squad we are on 3 different teams of six or seven people. In which we will do ministry with the first few months and then we will switch up teams.

JOSH, KAYLA, CICI, ME, JAMIE, JAMALL

We are His sheep, He is our Shepherd(Psalm 100:3)

A few takeaways from Training Camp:

*”Don’t be so focused on the road you’re on that you miss the work                  that God is doing all around you.”

*To have a “Yes Lord” in my spirit when I feel the Lord nudging me to               do something, and act on it, instead of just brushing it off. Be                       obedient in the moment.

*It’s our job to love, the Holy Spirits job to convict, Jesus’ job to                      save, and Gods job to judge.

* The Lord will give you rest.(Psalm 4:8)

Prayer Requests:

Would you please continue to pray for my squad and I as we prepare to launch out in just about 10 weeks? For the goodbyes we will have to say to family and friends in the coming weeks? And for a handful of squad mates who have yet to meet the fundraising deadline?

Much love,

             Steph
